Christianity and Racemaking in the Early Modern Atlantic World13 September 2023King's College London, hosted by Medicine and the Making of RaceDeadline: 14 April 2023The organisers warmly invite proposals for 20-minute papers which explore the relationship between race and religion in the Atlantic World broadly defined, with a particular focus on how Christianity (in theory and in practice) informed the construction and reification of racial difference in this vast and varied region.Shakespeare's LibrariesShakespeare Jahrbuch 160, 2024 VolumeDeadline: 30 April 2023The 2024 volume of Shakespeare Jahrbuch will be a special issue on “Shakespeare’s Libraries”. The editorial board invites contributions on related themes, concepts and debates, from a variety of perspectives, in particular on the material afterlife of Shakespeare’s work in editions, collections and libraries through the ages.
