Christianity and Racemaking in the Early Modern Atlantic World13 September 2023 King's College London, hosted by Medicine and the Making of Race Deadline: 14 April 2023The organisers warmly invite proposals for 20-minute papers which explore the relationship between race and religion in the Atlantic World broadly defined, with a particular focus on how Christianity (in theory and in practice) informed the construction and reification of racial difference in this vast and varied region. Shakespeare's Libraries Shakespeare Jahrbuch 160, 2024 Volume Deadline: 30 April 2023The 2024 volume of Shakespeare Jahrbuch will be a special issue on “Shakespeare’s Libraries”. The editorial board invites contributions on related themes, concepts and debates, from a variety of perspectives, in particular on the material afterlife of Shakespeare’s work in editions, collections and libraries through the ages. Contributions with a contemporary or historical perspective are equally welcome. Please email (as a Word/docx-file) to general editor, Prof Isabel Karremann (karremann@es.uzh.ch).
